North Americans 2026 on Pensacola Bay - Viper 640 International Class Association

Mark your calendars for September 30 to October 4, 2026 as the Viper 640 Class heads to Pensacola Yacht Club for the 2026 North American Championship. Pensacola is set up to deliver everything we look for in a great championship venue: reliable breeze, quality race management, and warm weather. Pensacola Bay should provide a fun and competitive racecourse for the biggest event on the class calendar.

Pensacola, FloridaViper North Americans are always more than a championship. They are the highlight of the year when the whole fleet really comes together. Old friends reconnect, new teams are welcomed in, rivalries resume on the water, and the stories get better every night ashore. Just ask anyone who went to the last North Americans on the Panhandle.

Whether you’re chasing the podium or simply looking for a great week of sailing, this is the kind of event that reminds you why the Viper class is as good as it gets.

Pensacola YC is also making travel logistics easy. Boat storage is free for the week before and the week after the event, with extended storage available for $63 per month after that. Staying through January is no issue for anyone headed onward to the Sarasota Winter Series.

Want a tune-up first? The weekend before North Americans, Fairhope Yacht Club, about an hour away, hosts the Wadewitz Regatta, which usually attracts 10+ Vipers.
