I just learned of a neat event that happens in Marblehead on Sunday August 16th -the Corinthian Yacht Club Kid's Regatta. In order to participate, we need a minimum of 2 boats, but here's the fun part -the driver must be anywhere under the age of 23. This is a natural for us to participate in, as young kids, high school & college sailors think we have the coolest boat once they see it!

I should receive the NOR before long, but let's see if we can be the biggest fleet for this day of casual, fun racing. If you don't have your own under 23 driver and crew, there are many who would love to come to Marblehead and sail the coolest boat on the harbor, whether they come from Manchester, Beverly or as far as Newport.

It's a great opportunity to take kids as young as 7 or 8, teens, or college age sailors and turn them into Viperers, now and for the future. Who knows, you might even find an enthusiastic new regular crew member!
