The Miami Viper fleet was formed in November of 2008 when a group of interested sailors invited the Class to Biscayne Bay for a demo. A number of people sailed the Viper 640 and decided it was a boat that could help revitalize one-design racing on the bay, with an exciting contemporary sportboat. Four new boats were purchased that day, all by sailors returning to one-design racing. We will be racing during the Bay's One-Design series.

Boats will be sailing from the Coral Reef Yacht Club and Biscane Bay yacht Club. In March of 2009, we will be hosting the first Viper one-design regatta on Biscayne Bay, the Coral Reef Cup. Please come and join us!
