Australian Vipers

The Viper is now Australia wide.......

After three years of building a fleet on the west coast it's great to announce the Viper has landed on the east coast.

A container is landing in Sydney in September 2012.

Mark Griffith has become Rondar’s agent on the east coast of Australia.

As an incentive to get the class going, he has negotiated a 12% discount for boats ordered prior to shipping.

So subject to any exchange rate shocks, a fully set up Viper on trailer with all fittings and ropes, full cover

and Hyde Sails is currently $35,000. Boats can also be supplied ex sails if anyone wants to go with their local sailmaker.

Now, there's not a better value sportsboat in Australia......east or west coat....

History

The first Viper 640  arrived in Australia in 2009.

Rod Beurteaux and  Chris O'Keefe imported the first container of Viper 640's.

Rod and Chris had moved  from dinghies into small keelboats.  While enjoying the competition they missed the excitement of

dinghy sailing.

They decided life is too short……. if you want to sail small keelboats ........Sail fast ones!

Rod literally, travelled through three continents combining business trips with a search for the best 20’ sport boat.

He was looking a boat that was:

Strict one design

Exciting to sail

Simple to rig and sail

Had a reputable builder

Was reasonably priced

Only the Viper 640 ticked all the boxes.

Four boats were imported in 2009 and a local fleet was established on the Swan River, Western Australia.

The Viper has proved ideally suited to Australian conditions.

It has proven to be very competitive in the Australian sportsboat fleet winning most of the regattas it has entered.

The fleet has continued to grow and another container arrivied in 2011 and the WA fleet numbers eight boats.

Now, with a fleet establishing on the east coast it's an exciting time...... The right  time to look at the Viper 640.
