Our favorite little Viperer needs our support. We have some tough news to share about Dan and Maureen's young son and our favorite little Viperer, Trent. Maureen and Dan were in Miami where Maureen was competing in a regatta as part of her preparation for the paralymics. On Monday they had to return when they receieved a call that the little guy had been taken into the local hospital and was being med-flighted from Salem Children's Hospital to Mass General Hospital. Dan writes He was sedated while he was on the ventilator, which was removed yesterday morning. He's recovering well now, saying more words, successfully finding his nostrils with both fingers, and smiling at us when his pain is well managed. he's making great progress recovering from the surgery. The long term chemo/radiation will be tough for all of us. But he WILL be a survivor. We can't envision any other outcome. We can use all of the positive thoughts, energy & prayer we can get, now and in the coming months. Tell everyone you see to go and hug their kids. with love, Dan & Moe PS To manage the number of individual emails and phone calls we're handling at this time, we're using an online resource called CarePages.com. The link is below. Feel free to forward this email and link to anyone and everyone who may be interested in sending the positive energy, prayers and messages of support. Once you login, I think you'll get updates as we post them. Sorry if it seems a bit less personal, but it'll be one heck of a lot more manageable for us :) A personalized Web page, called a CarePage, has been created for Trent, so you can easily receive the latest news, view photos and share messages of support.
