Okay, so here's the deal - we are going to have the best west coast sportboat regatta - ever! To be held in the south bay of San Diego - good breeze, flat water, no kelp - and run out of Coronado Yacht Club September 26, 27. We're going to gather as many sportboats as possible, put them together in at least two handicap classes, run seven races, and have a full slate of food, drink and entertainment as well. Dave Ullman will be speaking, alt rockers Moxy Bullets will be jamming, comedian Russ T. Nailz will be funny, all Saturday Night. And of course there will be giveaways, good prizes, great racing, good times. We are limiting entries to 60 boats total, so sign up now!

Many of you need accomodations, so here is some info for the Hotel del Coronado:

• Room rate of $150.00 + 8.19% tax (they have also waived the $25.00 daily resort charge)
• The room rate is valid September 24-29, 2009 (if someone needs additional dates, just let them know)
• They can use the phone numbers of 619-522-8000 or toll free at 800-468-3533 and use the reference code of “BOATREG”.  This is the only way you will get the special room rate!

There is a pretty big car event in coronado that weekend - The North Island Speed Festival, so rooms will go quickly...
